In our state-of-the-art classrooms and labs, you’ll learn how to test people’s hearing, dispense and program hearing aids, and counsel patients on managing ongoing hearing loss. Once you graduate, you'll be prepared to apply for HIP Internship, a necessary step toward becoming a Registered Hearing Instrument Practitioner (RHIP) in B.C.

The Hearing Instrument Practitioner program delivered by Douglas College is recognized by the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC. Graduates are eligible for registration as a Hearing Instrument Practitioner Intern with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC to fulfill the required clinical practice hours prior to taking the provincial licensing exams.
